TruckPark Adds 8th Parking Facility in ChicagolandBrent Cavanar
TruckPark today announced a partnership agreement with Pride USA Inc. to offer parking for commercial trucks in Lake Bluff, IL. TruckPark is a Chicago-based company committed to improving the truck driving experience using technology to overcome the problem of finding safe and secure parking.
TruckPark is adding parking facilities throughout the continental U.S., beginning with locations throughout the Midwest, Eastern and Southern states—with a priority on locations where it is often most difficult for truckers to find overnight parking.
The Lake Bluff parking facility, near I-94 and Highway 176, is already the eighth parking facility in Chicagoland available on the free TruckPark app, since it launched on Apple and Android app stores earlier this month.
The TruckPark app alerts truckers to available amenities on site. For example, the parking facility in Lake Bluff is a well-lit lot with camera surveillance and offers truck parts and repair, as well as a tire shop.
The partnership between TruckPark and Pride USA Inc. includes mutually beneficial support and promotion for the two businesses. “The Pride USA truck parts distribution center offers parts at great prices for every trucker’s needs,” says TruckPark CEO and co-founder Anthony Petitte. “Pride USA is a family-owned carrier operating in all 48 states of the continental U.S. They are among the top 500 companies based in the Chicago area.”
Finding an available parking spot has become increasingly difficult for commercial truck drivers. There are about 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the U.S., according to the American Trucking Association, but fewer than 400,000 available parking spots.
